Last updated: July 4, 2025
SUMMARY:
Here you will find a summary of how we process your personal data. We recommend that you read the entire Privacy Policy.

The Appy Prod Team app and website, (“Appy Prod” or “the Service”), are provided by Appy Prod Lilleheier. The Service also includes additional services that may be available depending on your geographical location.
We process your personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (including, where applicable, the GDPR, the Personal Data Act in Norway, the Data Protection Act 2018 in the UK, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and other relevant national legislation that applies to the processing of personal data in our Service).
Our commitment to processing personal data in line with applicable privacy legislation is outlined in the Privacy Policy below. We want to be completely transparent about what we do with your personal data. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Most of the information we hold about you is provided by you when registering your profile or is generated by your use of or other interaction with Appy Prod.
In some cases, we first receive basic profile information from group or club administrators in accordance with their privacy practices (for example, to allow you to create an Appy Prod profile and be added to a group ).
If you are an administrator yourself, you have specific responsibilities related to the processing of personal data in the group, and separate administrator terms apply.
We continuously strive to improve our services. Therefore, we collect information about how you and others use Appy Prod, to analyze usage patterns and needs. As a rule, we anonymize and aggregate such information so that individuals cannot be identified.
We personalize Appy Prod and our communication with you based on your use of the Service, to make the Service as relevant as possible for you.
Your personal data is not shared with others, unless this is necessary to provide the Service or you have consented to the sharing.
You can update registered profile information at any time. We do not store the information longer than necessary for the purpose of the processing or as required by statutory obligations.
Children from the age of 13 may use the Service without parental consent. Children under 13 must have parental consent to use the Service. An adult registered as a parent/guardian for a child can view the child's activities (for example, events the child participates in or comments the child posts). The minimum age for creating groups in the Service is 15 years.

Other Appy Prod users may access your information, for example, administrators in groups you are a member of, or if you share or merge your account with other members.

How We Use Your Personal Data (and our Legal Basis for doing so)
We base our processing of your personal data on the following legal grounds:
-
Contract – when processing is necessary to fulfill or enter into an agreement with you
-
Legitimate Interest – when processing is necessary to safeguard our or a third party's legitimate interests
-
Consent – when you have given us express permission
-
Legal Obligations – when we are required to process the data to comply with legal requirements

Below we describe the purposes of the processing of your personal data and the associated legal basis.
To Provide Our Service (Contract)
Appy Prod uses your Profile Information to deliver the Service in accordance with our Terms of Use. In practice, this means that group administrators can add you to groups via your Appy Prod profile. Once you are a member of a group, you gain access to various features in the Service, including participating in surveys, creating and publishing events, and communicating directly with other group members.

A key feature of the Service is the integration between the Appy Prod Team app and Appy Prod Services. This integration makes it possible to transfer Appy Prod groups – including group member profiles and Account Information – from the Appy Prod Team app to Appy Prod services.

When you use the Service to exchange messages with other users, create groups, etc., we also process User-Generated Content. As part of the Service, we also use Profile Information as well as Behavioral and Technical Data to provide you with the best possible customer service and support.

The legal basis for these processing activities is Legitimate Interest, where our legitimate interest is to offer users a user-friendly service. Processing activities necessary to provide our service are based on Contract.
Personalization of User Experience and Communication (Legitimate Interest)
We want to offer a user-friendly and as relevant a service as possible for you. In this context, we use your Profile and Account Information as well as Behavioral and Technical Data to suggest and present content and features tailored to you. We also adapt the Service based on your input and preferences, for example, through automatic login, shopping cart recovery, and adaptation of the Service to your device.
The legal basis for these processing activities is Legitimate Interest, where our legitimate interest is to offer users a user-friendly and relevant service.
Development, Improvement, Statistics, and Measurement (Legitimate Interest)
We use Profile Information, Account Information, (limited) Financial Information, and Behavioral and Technical Data to better meet user preferences and wishes, and to improve the Service as a whole. This includes analyzing and identifying usage trends in both large and small user groups, preparing statistics and insights into the use of our Service, collecting user data via surveys, and testing new features. In most cases, we take measures to ensure that we do not identify individual users. The legal basis for this processing is Legitimate Interest, where our legitimate interest is to improve and further develop the Service.

We also have an interest in collecting feedback from users through surveys, so that we can improve and further develop the Service. The invitation, with a link to the survey, is sent to the email address or phone number registered during participation. If you do not wish to participate in surveys and/or receive further invitations, you can unsubscribe via the function included in the invitation.
Measuring Ad Results in Appy Prod
We may show you personalized ads based on your Profile and Account Information. We may also use Location Data to show ads based on your approximate location, such as the city you are in. In addition, ads may be shown based on your use of the app (contextual ads).
The legal basis for this processing of personal data is Legitimate Interest, where our legitimate interest is to offer a personalized service with relevant ads for you. This contributes to keeping Appy Prod a free service for as many people as possible. You can control how we use your personal data in the privacy settings of your Appy Prod account. If you do not want to see personalized advertising, we will only show you contextual ads.

To protect children's privacy, we have established guidelines and technical measures to ensure that personal data of users under 18 is not used for personalized advertising. Instead, we may show contextual ads or ads based on Location Data. When you turn 18, you, like other users over 18, will have the opportunity to choose whether you wish to see personalized advertising or not.
To measure the effectiveness of ads, we prepare reports and share them with our advertisers. This processing of personal data is based on Behavioral and Technical Data, including ad views and user interactions with the ads. The reports do not contain information that can be linked to you as a person. We also use this data to improve our ad products. The legal basis for this processing is our Legitimate Interest in ensuring reliable reporting to our advertisers and continuous improvement of our ad products.
Direct Marketing – Marketing via Email, SMS, etc. (Legitimate Interest or Consent)
We send marketing about our own services via email, SMS, and similar channels when you are already a user of our services and have not objected to receiving such communication. If you are not a user of our services, or if we wish to send you information about products or services from other providers, we always ask for your consent before sending such advertising.

When we send you direct marketing as described above, we use your Profile Information. We may also tailor our marketing based on other information, such as Account Data, Financial Information, and Behavioral and Technical Data. The legal basis for this processing of personal data is our Legitimate Interest in informing you about our offers and campaigns.
You can opt out of this type of marketing at any time. If you opt out or withdraw any consent, we will also stop using your personal data for marketing purposes, including profiling.

From time to time, we also run referral campaigns based on our Legitimate Interest, where Appy Prod users can recruit new users.
Use of Third-Party Marketing Services
We use services from third-party providers such as Google and Meta/Facebook to market our Service. In this context, we may share your Profile Information and/or Behavioral and Technical Data. The legal basis for this processing is Consent and/or our Legitimate Interest in marketing our services through relevant channels, as well as utilizing other marketing-related services such as analysis and performance measurement.
Investigation and Prevention of Security Issues and Abuse
We may process Profile Information as well as Behavioral and Technical Data to safeguard the security of the Service and individual users, and to reduce the risk of security incidents. The legal basis is our Legitimate Interest in detecting and preventing potential misuse of the Service.
In case of suspicion of misuse (for example, violation of our Terms) and/or unauthorized use of the Service, including its communication channels (for example, if a message is reported by the recipient), we reserve the right to investigate the affected account (including messages sent from the account) and take further measures we deem necessary.

Use of Cookies
Cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies (“cookies”) may be stored on or accessed on your device for the purposes described above. The legal basis for the use of cookies is Consent in accordance with national implementation of the GDPR, or other local legislation in the country where you use the Service.

You can object to the use at any time by changing the settings in your browser so that cookies are not accepted. However, please be aware that some parts of the Service may not function correctly if cookies are completely removed. More information on how we use cookies and how you can manage cookies in our services can be found in our cookie policy.
For Statutory Purposes (Legal Obligation)
We process your personal data in cases where we are obliged to store or obtain personal data to comply with legal requirements, for example, details of purchases for accounting purposes, or when we must obtain parental or guardian consent to offer online services to children under 13. We will also share your personal data if necessary in response to requests from government or law enforcement authorities conducting an investigation.
How We Share Your Personal Data

We use third-party providers (e.g., our technology providers) who are our Data Processors to process personal data on our behalf (subject to a data processing agreement that ensures an adequate level of privacy protection).
International Data Transfers
Some of our data processors are located outside the UK/EEA, including in the USA. The processing of personal data by such data processors is – where applicable – secured through adherence to the UK's or EU's Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries.

Interactions with Other Appy Prod Users
The Profile Information you provide us (name, email address, phone number, picture (if provided) and all User-Generated Content) is visible to other members in the Appy Prod groups you are a member of, or other participants in events you attend.
The Profile Information you share and your contact preferences may be visible to other team members when you use the Service to communicate with them. If you do not want other Appy Prod users to have access to the information as described above, you should limit the information you provide and use the Service accordingly.
Appy Prod as Both Data Controller and Data Processor
Appy Prod primarily processes personal data as the Data Controller (see above). However, for certain processing activities within Appy Prod, we have additional roles.
In Appy Prod Team, the group administrator acts as the sole Data Controller for certain processing activities, and as a Joint Controller with Appy Prod for certain limited purposes, as described in the Additional Terms for Administrators.

Your Rights as an Appy Prod User
You have certain rights related to the personal data we process about you. These include the right to access, rectification, erasure, to receive and reuse data across services ("data portability"), restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw your consent where consent is the legal basis for processing.

You can request to exercise these rights by contacting us at through our webpage. The rights may be limited, for example, if fulfilling the request would disclose personal data about another person, violate a third party's rights (including our own), or if we are legally obliged to retain the information, or have compelling legitimate interests in doing so. Relevant exceptions are stated in the applicable privacy legislation. We will inform you of any relevant exceptions we invoke in our response.

The Profile Information you have provided us is always visible to you in the Service. If the information we have registered about you is incorrect, we recommend that you update your profile.
Retention
We do not process your personal data longer than necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing and our legal obligations.
Please note that your activities in Appy Prod (for example, registrations, cancellations, posts, notifications, and other communication) may be visible to relevant persons (including members of Appy Prod groups and participants in events, etc.) even after you have left one or more of your groups or deleted your Appy Prod profile. If you delete your Appy Prod profile, the name and contact information associated with your activities will be anonymized and/or removed.
Children's Privacy
Children from the age of 13 may use the Service without parental consent. For children under 13, such consent is required. An adult registered as a parent/guardian for a child in the Service can view the child's activities (for example, events the child participates in or comments the child posts). The minimum age for creating groups in the Service is 15 years.
Information Security
We have implemented organizational and technical procedures and measures that ensure your personal data is not compromised, is not unintentionally altered, and is available when necessary.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We will update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we process your personal data in connection with the Service. In such cases, an updated Privacy Policy will be published on appyprod.com. In the event of major changes, we will notify you directly in an appropriate manner, either through the Service or via email.
